Did you spend a lot of effort right out of high school or college trying to figure out the most you could get materially for a comfortable amount of effort?  Did you then get a job and hope or expect that the company you went to work for, the boss, the working conditions, the customers and co-workers to all be a joy day in and day out?

 

It would be nice if it worked that way wouldn’t it?!

 

The truth is we often want the most back from a comfortable amount of effort with no outside hassles – but is that truly the recipe for fulfillment?

 

It’s a guaranteed recipe for disaster because it involves a condition of others doing what we think they should do to acknowledge, respect and value us in order for us to feel that we are in fact worthy, powerful, successful, etc.
